In-Home Screening…

IN-HOME PULSE OXIMETRY SCREENING

American Sleep Systems provides easy to use sleep screening equipment that allows you to self-administer an analysis of your sleep patterns in the comfort of your home.

Our process is a non-invasive, simple to use equipment measures the oxygen saturation levels in your blood and your pulse rate while you sleep in the comfort of your own bed. This process is called Pulse Oximetry and is used in most modern hospitals around the world to monitor patients in many critical care environments including anesthesia during surgery and intensive care units during mechanical ventilation. Oximetry can frequently detect problems with a patient’s oxygenation before they are noticed clinically.

Our pulse oximeter kit consists of a probe that is placed on the patient's finger and linked to a small computerized unit. This unit displays and stores in memory information regarding the percentage of hemoglobin saturated with oxygen and heart rate while you sleep.
Oximeters are very accurate when used properly by following the simple, easy to understand instructions included with our kit. They are calibrated during manufacture and automatically check their own internal circuits when turned on for patient use.
